Non-personally identifiable information

Enterprise Data Journal automatically collects certain information that we do not use to personally identify individuals. For example, this site automatically recognizes your domain name, IP address, browser version, operating system and the site you passed through to reach the EDJ website. In addition, our publishing system automatically gathers certain usage information like the numbers and frequency of visitors to our websites and their geographical areas. We analyze this information in aggregate to provide useful information such us which articles are most popular, how many times an advertisement is clicked, and other patterns of site usage.

Personally identifiable information

Enterprise Data Journal only collects personally identifiable information which you choose to provide to us. Information such as your name, organization, address, telephone number and email address are only collected when, for example, you complete a subscription registration or when you post such information to a blog or message board. Information gathered through the use of cookies (defined below) is not related to any personally identifiable details.

B.    How We Use What We Learn

The information we collect is used to improve the content of our website and to help develop topics of discussion and interest. Additionally, we may use the information provided by you to: 1) contact you in order to comply with any legal requirements, 2) advise you of any material changes or additions to our service, 3) advise you of account status and 4) for information collection purposes such as to contact you as part of an online survey.

We may use your personally identifiable information to send e-mails or postal mail on behalf of our sponsors, affiliates, business partners or others who work for us, but we will never provide your personal information to any unaffiliated third parties.

C.    What Choice Do We Provide You?

If at any time, you wish to stop receiving e-mail  from us regarding EDJ, and/or if you have any questions, comments or suggestions, please email us at info (at) enterprisedatajournal.com or click the “Unsubscribe” link at the bottom of our emails.  If you wish to receive information about EDJ but not about related or sponsors, services, please send an email request with the subject line of “EDJ Subscriber Request – No Additional Promotional Messages” and you will be placed on a suppression list which will exclude you from such messages. In this case you will continue to receive emails about new EDJ issues and content.
